Key Points:Tableau Desktop

• Creating Data Sources (including knowledge of the new relationship functionality Tableau now offers)

• Creating/Editing Reports & Dashboards

• Familiarity with Actions, Parameters etc.

• Familiarity with Tableau Functions (including Table Calculations Functions) and Levels of Detail (LODs)

• Familiarity with Blending Data Sources

• Analyzing the performance of Reports

• Knowledge of TDC (Tableau Data Source Customization)

• Knowledge of TDE (Tableau Data Extracts) may be usefulTableau Server

• Basic admin (assigning privileges to users, creating Projects etc.)

• Publishing Data Sources/Reports

• Differences/Limitations of Server compared to Desktop

• Knowledge of the statistics Tableau offers on Reports run etc
