Job Title: Azure Synapse Developer
Client: Global Consulting Firm
Day Rate: £400-£450 (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 months (extendable)
Location: London (Hybrid working)
5-8 Years of development experience
Expertise in Azure SynapseLeverage, Azure data lake, Azure SQL pools, Apache-spark, Synapse, Azure data factory/Synapse pipelines.
End-to-end Data Warehouse experience: ingestion, ETL, ‘big data’ pipelines, data architecture, message queuing, stream processing, BI/Reporting and Data Security.
Advanced SQL/relational database knowledge, query authoring (SQL).Writing Polybase scripts for the movement of data from the data lake to the staging area of the azure synapse SQL pools.
Perform the design and extension of data marts, metadata, and data models.
Finalize functional requirement, JOIN strategy and technical design mentioning source of data, transformation req, periodicityPerform unit testing, providing QA support and UAT supportPerformance tuning and testing of ingestion processes
Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from external sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked
